2009 Predictions: The year of the Ox


My purpose is to alleviate chaos
And perpetuate stability
To hold my ground against
Hardship, danger and adversity
Steadfast and above reproach

The year of the Ox is just what’s needed to clean up any mess and clutter left by the Rat. The Ox is not as he appears and should not be underestimated or considered slow or unaware.
The Ox is the quintessential hardworking, conventional cleaner-upper who will put everything back in order and turn chaos back into reason.
There is no room for anyone looking for a free ride during an Ox year. Hard work pays and laziness does not. It’s a plain-and-simple, cut-and-dried, yes-and-no type year. It’s a year to get papers in order and your life back on track, and to do whatever it takes to budget and plan for your financial future, lessening the stress and securing your position. Tradition will be important and keeping order and making sure that everyone plays by the rules a must.
The Ox doesn’t care for sob stories or those looking for a handout. There is nothing less appealing to an Ox than someone wanting his or her way paid for. You must gain respect through your actions if you want to fare well during the year of the Ox.
The United States must curtail ambition and set goals within reach. Limited profits will leave many without. Strict budgeting, joining together as one regardless of race, creed, color or political beliefs will be essential. It will take a strong leader, ready to do whatever is necessary to ignite a nation struggling to reinforce its voice and place in a world gone awry. New strategy and a bold jump into the future will be essential to maintain a leadership position. New measures must be implemented throughout 2009 to prepare for the vast opportunities this great nation has heading its way in 2010.
Although Canada has much to be grateful for, the year of the Ox will bring with it restrictions and an overflow of what’s happening economically in the U.S. With rising costs, the tightening of the belt by both government and individuals will be necessary. As a collective group, Canadians tend to be conservative like the Ox and, if great caution is taken in 2009, Canada will enjoy a much better harvest as the year comes to a close.
Although the Ox year will enable the United Kingdom to bring order back and allow progress once again, this will only occur with hard work and desire to make its own opportunities. The greatest problems will stem from what is expected of them by other nations who will put them in a position requiring strength of character and the wisdom that comes with experience. Colonies will be a concern and must be handled with unprecedented diplomacy.
As for the rest of us walking the planet, the Ox will not put up with anything short of supreme effort. No one will be able to get by without putting out. It will be necessary for everyone to plan carefully for the future and to live on less and give more in order to support the falling economy. It will be up to the people to question their leaders, to make sure they don’t give supremacy to just anyone and to remind the powers that hold our fragile existence by a string that it isn’t the individuals living on the planet who cannot get along but our leaders who cannot resolve issues peacefully.
The Ox calls for simplicity, patience and the ability to work as one. The less cordial the main players are, the less we will accomplish as a collective group.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): Imagination, ingenuity and intelligence will bring opportunities if you can also keep things simple, cost-efficient and serviceable. You will not be short of good ideas and you will express your hopes and wishes with such conviction and knowledge that it will be difficult for your audience to not want to join your team. O tempo foge...

Tempo que foge!

Contei meus anos e descobri que terei menos tempo para viver daqui para frente do que já vivi até agora.

Sinto-me como aquele menino que ganhou uma bacia de jabuticabas. As primeiras, ele chupou displicente, mas percebendo que faltam poucas, rói o caroço. Já não tenho tempo para lidar com mediocridades. Não quero estar em reuniões onde desfilam egos inflados. Não tolero gabolices. Inquieto-me com invejosos tentando destruir quem eles admiram, cobiçando seus lugares, talentos e sorte. Já não tenho tempo para projetos megalomaníacos. Não participarei de conferências que estabelecem prazos fixos para reverter a miséria do mundo. Não vou mais a workshops onde se ensina como converter milhões usando uma fórmula de poucos pontos.

Não quero que me convidem para eventos de um fim-de-semana com a proposta de abalar o milênio. Já não tenho tempo para reuniões intermináveis para discutir estatutos, normas, procedimentos parlamentares e regimentos internos. Não gosto de assembléias ordinárias em que as organizações procuram se proteger e perpetuar através de infindáveis detalhes organizacionais.

Já não tenho tempo para administrar melindres de pessoas, que apesar da idade cronológica, são imaturos. Não quero ver os ponteiros do relógio avançando em reuniões de "confrontação", onde "tiramos fatos a limpo". Detesto fazer acareação de desafetos que brigaram pelo majestoso cargo de secretário do coral. Já não tenho tempo para debater vírgulas, detalhes gramaticais sutis, ou sobre as diferentes traduções da Bíblia. Não quero ficar explicando porque gosto da Nova Versão Internacional das Escrituras, só porque há um grupo que a considera herética. Minha resposta será curta e delicada:-- Gosto, e ponto final!

Lembrei-me agora de Mário de Andrade que afirmou: "As pessoas não debatem conteúdos, apenas os rótulos".

Meu tempo tornou-se escasso para debater rótulos. Já não tenho tempo para ficar explicando aos medianos se estou ou não perdendo a fé porque admiro a poesia do Chico Buarque e do Vinicius de Moraes; a voz da Maria Bethânia; os livros de Machado de Assis, Thomas Mann, Ernest Hemingway e José Lins do Rego.

Sem muitas jabuticabas na bacia, quero viver ao lado de gente humana, muito humana; que sabe rir de seus tropeços, que não se encanta com triunfos, não se considera eleita para a "última hora"; não foge de sua mortalidade, defende a dignidade dos marginalizados, e deseja andar humildemente com Deus.

Caminhar perto delas nunca será perda de tempo!!!

ATRITOS


Ninguém muda ninguém; ninguém muda sozinho; nós mudamos nos encontros. Simples, mas profundo, preciso.

É nos relacionamentos que nos transformamos. Somos transformados a partir dos encontros, desde que estejamos abertos e livres para sermos impactados pela idéia e sentimento do outro.

Você já viu a diferença que há entre as pedras que estão na nascente de um rio, e as pedras que estão em sua foz? As pedras na nascente são toscas, pontiagudas, cheias de arestas.

À medida que elas vão sendo carregadas pelo rio, sofrendo a ação da água e se atritando com as outras pedras, ao longo de muitos anos, elas vão sendo polidas, desbastadas. Assim também agem nossos contatos humanos. Sem eles, a vida seria monótona, árida. A observação mais importante é constatar que não existem sentimentos, bons ou ruins, sem a existência do outro, sem o seu contato.Passar pela vida sem se permitirum relacionamento próximo com o outro, é não crescer, não evoluir, não se transformar. É começar e terminar a existênciacom uma forma tosca, pontiaguda, amorfa. Quando olho para trás, vejo que hoje carrego em meu servárias marcas de pessoas extremamente importantes. Pessoas que, no contato com elas,me permitiram ir dando forma ao que sou, eliminando arestas, transformando-me em alguém melhor, mais suave, mais harmônico, mais integrado. Outras, sem dúvida, com suas ações e palavras me criaram novas arestas, que precisaram ser desbastadas. Faz parte...Reveses momentâneos servem para o crescimento. A isso chamamos experiência. Penso que existe algo mais profundo, ainda nessa análise. Começamos a jornada da vida como grandes pedras, cheias de excessos.

Os seres de grande valor, percebem que ao final da vida, foram perdendo todos os excessos que formavam suas arestas, se aproximando cada vez mais de sua essência, e ficando cada vez menores, menores, menores...Quando finalmente aceitamosque somos pequenos, ínfimos, dada a compreensão da existênciae importância do outro, e principalmente da grandeza de DEUS, é que finalmente nos tornamos grandes em valor.

Já viu o tamanho do diamante polido, lapidado? Sabemos quanto se tira de excesso para chegar ao seu âmago. É lá que está o verdadeiro valor...Pois, DEUS fez a cada um de nós com um âmago bem fortee muito parecido com o diamante bruto, constituído de muitos elementos, mas essencialmente de AMOR.

DEUS deu a cada um de nós essa capacidade, a de AMAR...Mas temos que aprender como. Para chegarmos a esse âmago, temos que nos permitir, através dos relacionamentos, ir desbastando todos os excessosque nos impedem de usá-lo, de fazê-lo brilhar. Por muito tempo em minha vida acreditei que amar significava evitar sentimentos ruins. Não entendia que ferir e ser ferido, ter e provocar raiva, ignorar e ser ignorado faz parte da construção do aprendizado do amor. Não compreendia que se aprende a amar sentindo todos esses sentimentos contraditórios e...os superando. Ora, esses sentimentos simplesmente não ocorrem se não houver envolvimento...E envolvimento gera atrito.

Minha palavra final: ATRITE-SE!

Não existe outra forma de descobrir o AMOR.

E sem ele a VIDA não tem significado.

The Awakening

There comes a time in your life when you finally get it ...

When in the midst of all your fears and insanity you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out "ENOUGH!

Enough fighting and crying or struggling to hold on." And, like a child quieting down after a blind tantrum, your sobs begin to subside, you shudder once or twice, you blink back your tears and through a mantle of wet lashes you begin to look at the world from a new perspective...........This is your awakening.
You realize that it is time to stop hoping and waiting for something or someone to change, or for happiness safety and security to come galloping over the next horizon. You come to terms with the fact that there aren't always fairytale endings (or beginnings for that matter) and that any guarantee of "happily ever after" must begin with you. Then a sense of serenity is born of acceptance.
So you begin making your way through the "reality of today" rather than holding out for the "promise of tomorrow." You realize that much of who you are and the way you navigate through life is, in great part, a result of all the social conditioning you've received over the course of a lifetime. And you begin to sift through all the nonsense you were taught about :
- how you should look and how much you should weigh,

- what you should wear and where you should shop,

- where you should live or what type of car you should drive,

- who you should sleep with and how you should behave,

- who you should marry and why you should stay,- the importance of bearing children or what you owe your family,
Slowly you begin to open up to new worlds and different points of view. And you begin re-assessing and re-defining who you are and what you really believe in. And you begin to discard the doctrines you have outgrown, or should never have practiced to begin with.
You accept the fact that you are not perfect ,and that not everyone will love appreciate or approve of who or what you are... and that's OK... they are entitled to their own views and opinions. And, you come to terms with the fact that you will never be a size 5 or a "perfect 10".... Or a perfect human being for that matter... and you stop trying to compete with the image inside your head or agonizing over how you compare. And, you take a long look at yourself in the mirror and you make a promise to give yourself the same unconditional love and support you give so freely to others. Then a sense of confidence is born of self-approval.
And, you stop maneuvering through life merely as a "consumer" hungry for your next fix, a new dress, another pair of shoes or looks of approval and admiration from family, friends or even strangers who pass by. Then you discover that it is truly in "giving" that we receive, and that the joy and abundance you seek grows out of the giving. And you recognize the importance of "creating" and "contributing" rather than "obtaining" and "accumulating."
And you give thanks for the simple things you've been blessed with, things that millions of people upon the earth can only dream about - a full refrigerator, clean running water, a soft warm bed, the freedom of choice and the opportunity to pursue your own dreams.
And you begin to love and to care for yourself. You stop engaging in self-destructive behaviors, including participating in dysfunctional relationships. You begin eating a balanced diet, drinking more water and exercising. And because you've learned that fatigue drains the spirit and creates doubt and fear, you give yourself permission to rest. And just as food is fuel for the body, laughter is fuel for the spirit and so you make it a point to create time for play.
Then you learn about love and relationships - how to love, how much to give in love, when to stop giving, and when to walk away. And you allow only the hands of a lover who truly loves and respects you to glorify you with his touch. You learn that people don't always say what they mean or mean what they say, intentionally or unintentionally, and that not everyone will always come through... and interestingly enough, it's not always about you. So, you stop lashing out and pointing fingers or looking to place blame for the things that were done to you or weren't done for you. And you learn to keep your Ego in check and to acknowledge and redirect the destructive emotions it spawns - anger, jealousy and resentment.
You learn how to say "I was wrong" and to forgive people for their own human frailties. You learn to build bridges instead of walls and about the healing power of love as it is expressed through a kind word, a warm smile or a friendly gesture. And, at the same time, you eliminate any relationships that are hurtful or fail to uplift and edify you. You stop working so hard at smoothing things over and setting your needs aside. You learn that feelings of entitlement are perfectly OK and that it is your right to want or expect certain things. And you learn the importance of communicating your needs with confidence and grace. You learn that the only cross to bear is the one you choose to carry and that eventually martyrs are burned at the stake. Then you learn to distinguish between guilt, and responsibility and the importance of setting boundaries and learning to Say NO. You learn that you don't know all the answers, it's not your job to save the world and that sometimes you just need to Let Go.
Moreover, you learn to look at people as they really are and not as you would want them to be, and you are careful not to project your neediness or insecurities onto a relationship. You learn that you will not be more beautiful, more intelligent, more lovable or important because of the man on your arm or the child that bears your name. You learn that just as people grow and change, so it is with love and relationships, and that that not everyone can always love you the way you would want them to. So you stop appraising your worth by the measure of love you are given. And suddenly you realize that it's wrong to demand that someone live their life or sacrifice their dreams just to serve your needs, ease your insecurities, or meet "your" standards and expectations. You learn that the only love worth giving and receiving is the love that is given freely without conditions or limitations. And you learn what it means to love. So you stop trying to control people, situations and outcomes. You learn that "alone" does not mean "lonely" and you begin to discover the joy of spending time "with yourself" and "on yourself." Then you discover the greatest and most fulfilling love you will ever know - Self Love. And so it comes to pass that, through understanding, your heart heals; and now all new things are possible.
Moving along, you begin to avoid Toxic people and conversations. And you stop wasting time and energy rehashing your situation with family and friends. You learn that talk doesn't change things and that unrequited wishes can only serve to keep you trapped in the past. So you stop lamenting over what could or should have been and you make a decision to leave the past behind. Then you begin to invest your time and energy to affect positive change. You take a personal inventory of all your strengths and weaknesses and the areas you need to improve in order to move ahead, you set your goals and map out a plan of action to see things through.
You learn that life isn't always fair and you don't always get what you think you deserve, and you stop personalizing every loss or disappointment. You learn to accept that sometimes bad things happen to good people and that these things are not an act of God... but merely a random act of fate.
And you stop looking for guarantees, because you've learned that the only thing you can really count on is the unexpected and that whatever happens, you'll learn to deal with it. And you learn that the only thing you must truly fear is the great robber baron of all time - FEAR itself. So you learn to step right into and through your fears, because to give into fear is to give away the right to live life on your terms. You learn that much of life truly is a self-fulfilling prophesy and you learn to go after what you want and not to squander your life living under a cloud of indecision or feelings of impending doom.
Then, YOU LEARN ABOUT MONEY... the personal power and independence it brings and the options it creates. And you recognize the necessity to create your own personal wealth. Slowly, you begin to take responsibility for yourself by yourself and you make yourself a promise to never betray yourself and to never ever settle for less than your heart's desire. And a sense of power is born of self-reliance. And you live with honor and integrity because you know that these principles are not the outdated ideals of a by-gone era but the mortar that holds together the foundation upon which you must build your life. And you make it a point to keep smiling, to keep trusting and to stay open to every wonderful opportunity and exciting possibility. Then you hang a wind chime outside your window to remind yourself what beauty there is in Simplicity.
Finally, with courage in your heart and with God by your side you take a stand, you FAKE a deep breath and you begin to design the life you want to live as best as you can.
A word about the Power of Prayer: In some of my darkest, most painful and frightening hours, I have prayed, not for the answers to my prayers or for material things, but for my "God" to help me find the strength, confidence and courage to persevere; to face each day and to do what I must do.
Remember this:

- You are an expression of the almighty. The spirit of God resides within you and moves through you. Open your heart, speak to that spirit and it will heal and empower you.

My "God" has never failed me.

NÃO QUERO


Não quero alguém que morra de amor por mim... Só preciso de alguém que viva por mim, que queira estar junto de mim, me abraçando. Não exijo que esse alguém me ame como eu o amo, quero apenas que me ame, não me importando com que intensidade.

Não tenho a pretensão de que todas as pessoas que gosto, gostem de mim... Nem que eu faça a falta que elas me fazem, o importante pra mim é saber que eu, em algum momento, fui insubstituível... E que esse momento será inesquecível... Só quero que meu sentimento seja valorizado.

Quero sempre poder ter um sorriso estampando meu rosto, mesmo quando a situação não for muito alegre... E que esse meu sorriso consiga transmitir paz para os que estiverem ao meu redor. Quero poder fechar meus olhos e imaginar alguém... e poder ter a absoluta certeza de que esse alguém também pensa em mim quando fecha os olhos, que faço falta quando não estou por perto. Queria ter a certeza de que apesar de minhas renúncias e loucuras, alguém me valoriza pelo que sou, não pelo que tenho... Que me veja como um ser humano completo, que abusa demais dos bons sentimentos que a vida lhe proporciona, que dê valor ao que realmente importa, que é meu sentimento... e não brinque com ele. E que esse alguém me peça para que eu nunca mude, para que eu nunca cresça, para que eu seja sempre eu mesmo. Não quero brigar com o mundo, mas se um dia isso acontecer, quero ter forças suficientes para mostrar a ele que o amor existe... Que ele é superior ao ódio e ao rancor, e que não existe vitória sem humildade e paz. Quero poder acreditar que mesmo se hoje eu fracassar, amanhã será outro dia, e se eu não desistir dos meus sonhos e propósitos, talvez obterei êxito e serei plenamente feliz. Que eu nunca deixe minha esperança ser abalada por palavras pessimistas... Que a esperança nunca me pareça um "não" que a gente teima em maquiá-lo de verde e entendê-lo como "sim". Quero poder ter a liberdade de dizer o que sinto a uma pessoa, de poder dizer a alguém o quanto ele é especial e importante pra mim, sem ter de me preocupar com terceiros... Sem correr o risco de ferir uma ou mais pessoas com esse sentimento. Quero, um dia, poder dizer às pessoas que nada foi em vão... que o amor existe, que vale a pena se doar às amizades a às pessoas, que a vida é bela sim, e que eu sempre dei o melhor de mim...e que valeu a pena!!!

Na tradição hindu, Shiva é o destruidor. Na verdade ele destrói para construir algo novo, assim, prefiro chamá-lo de "renovador" ou "transformador". Suas primeiras representações surgiram no neolítico (4.000 a.C.) na forma de Pashupati, o Senhor dos Animais. A criação do Yoga é atribuída a ele e o Yoga é uma prática que produz transformação física, mental e emocional, portanto, está intimamente ligado ao deus da transformação. Shiva é o deus supremo (Mahadeva), o pacífico (Shankara) e o benevolente, onde reside toda a alegria (Shambo ou Shambhu).

O TRISHULA

O tridente que aparece nas ilustrações de Shiva é o Trishula. É com essa arma que ele destrói a ignorância nos seres humanos. Suas três pontas representam as três qualidades da matéria: tamas (a inércia), rajas (o movimento) e sattva (o equilíbrio).



A Naja é a mais mortal das serpentes. Usar uma serpente em volta da cintura e do pescoço, simboliza que Shiva dominou a morte e tornou-se imortal. Na tradição do Yoga, ela também representa Kundaliní, a energia de fogo que reside adormecida na base da coluna. Quando despertamos essa energia, ela sobe pela coluna, ativando os centros de energia (chakras) e produzindo a iluminação (samadhi), um estado de consciência expandida.



No topo da cabeça de Shiva se vê um jorro d’água. Na verdade é o rio Ganges ou Ganga que nasce dos cabelos de Shiva. Há uma lenda que diz que Ganga era um rio muito violento e não podia descer à Terra pois a destruiria com a força do impacto. Então, os homens pediram a Shiva que ajudasse e ele permitiu que o rio caísse primeiro sobre sua cabeça, amortecendo o impacto e depois, mais tranqüílo, corresse pela Terra.



Também chamado de linga, é o símbolo fálico de Shiva. Ele representa o pênis, o instrumento da criação e da força vital, a energia masculina que está presente na origem do universo. Está associado ao poder criador de Shiva. A palavra "lingam" significa "emblema, distintivo, signo".
O lingam é o emblema de Shiva. Na Índia, reverenciar o lingam é o mesmo que reverenciar a Shiva. Ele pode ser feito em qualquer material, embora o preferido seja o de pedra negra. Na falta de uma escultura, se constrói um lingam com a areia da praia ou do leito do rio; ou simplesmente se coloca em pé uma pedra ovalada.
É comum, nos templos, se pendurar sobre o lingam uma vasilha com um pequeno orifício no fundo. A água é derramada constantemente sobre ele numa forma de reverência. A base do lingam representa a yoni, o genital feminino, mostrando que a criação se dá com a união do masculino e feminino.



O tambor em forma de ampulheta representa o som da criação do universo. No hinduísmo, o universo brota da sílaba OM. É interessante comparar essa afirmação com a conhecido prólogo do Evangelho de São João: "No princípio era o Verbo (a sílaba, o som). E o Verbo era Deus. (...) Tudo foi feito por Ele (o Verbo) e sem Ele nada se fez."
É com o som do Damaru que Shiva marca o ritmo do universo e o compasso de sua dança. As vezes, ele deixa de tocar por um instante, para ajustar o som do tambor ou para achar um ritmo melhor e, então, todo o universo se desfaz e só reaparece quando a música recomeça.



Shiva está intimamente associado a esse elemento pois o fogo representa a transformação. Nada que tenha passado pelo fogo, permanecerá o mesmo: o alimento vai ao fogo e se transforma, a água se evapora, os corpos cremados viram cinzas. Assim, Shiva nos convida a nos transformarmos através do fogo do Yoga. O calor físico e psíquico que essa prática produz nos auxilia a transcender nossos próprios limites.



Nandi é o touro branco que acompanha Shiva, sua montaria e seu mais fiel servo. O touro está associado às forças telúricas e à virilidade. Também representa a força física e a violência. Montar o touro branco, significa dominar a violência e controlar sua própria força.
A palavra "Nandi" significa "aquele que dá a alegria". Sua devoção por seu senhor é tão grande que sempre se encontra sua figura diante dos templos dedicados a Shiva. Ele está deitado, guardando o portão principal.



A lua, que muda de fase constantemente, representa a ciclicidade da natureza e a renovação contínua a qual todos estamos sujeitos. Ela também representa as emoções e nossos humores que são regidos por esse astro. Usar um crescente nos cabelos simboliza que Shiva está além das emoções. Ele não é mais manipulado por seus humores como são os humanos, ele está acima das variações e mudanças, ou melhor, ele não se importa com as mudanças pois sabe que elas fazem parte do mundo manifesto. Os mestres que se iluminaram afirmam que as transformações pelas quais passamos durante a vida (nascimento e morte, o final de uma relação, mudança de emprego, etc.) não afetam nosso ser verdadeiro e, portanto, não deveríamos nos preocupar tanto com elas.



Neste aspecto, Shiva aparece como o Rei (raja) do Dançarinos (nata). Ele dança dentro de um círculo de fogo, símbolo da renovação e, através de sua dança, Nataraja cria, conserva e destrói o universo. Ela representa o eterno movimento do universo que foi impulsionado pelo ritmo do tambor e da dança. Apesar de seus movimentos serem dinâmicos, como mostram seus cabelos esvoaçantes, Shiva Nataraja permanece com seus olhos parados, olhando internamente, em atitude meditativa. Ele não se envolve com a dança do universo pois sabe que ela não é permanente. Como um yogue, ele se fixa em sua própria natureza, seu ser interior, que é perene.
Em uma das mãos, ele segura o Damaru, o tambor em forma de ampulheta com o qual marca o ritmo cósmico e o fluir do tempo. Na outra, traz uma chama, símbolo da transformação e da destruição de tudo que é ilusório. As outras duas mãos, encontram-se em gestos específicos. A direita, cuja palma está a mostra, representa um gesto de proteção e bênçãos (abhaya mudrá). A esquerda representa a tromba de um elefante, aquele que destrói os obstáculos.
Nataraja pisa com seu pé direito sobre as costas de um anão. Ele é o demônio da ignorância interior, a ignorância que nos impede de perceber nosso verdadeiro eu. O pedestal da estátua é uma flor de lótus, símbolo do mundo manifestado.
A imagem toda nos diz: "Vá além do mundo das aparências, vença a ignorância interior e torne-se Shiva, o meditador, aquele que enxerga a verdade através do olho que tudo vê (terceiro olho, Ájña Chakra)."



Pashupati é uma das primeiras representações de Shiva e surgiu no neolítico, por volta de 4.000 a.C.. O nome significa "O Senhor dos Animais" (pashu = animais, feras, bestas; pati = senhor, mestre). Ele é representado com três faces, olhando o passar do tempo (passado-presente-futuro). A coroa em forma de cornos de búfalo evidencia a proximidade de Shiva com esse animal que representa as forças da terra e da virilidade. Pashupati está sentado em posição de meditação, o que nos faz pensar que as técnicas meditativas já existiam naquele período. Os quatro animais ao seu redor são o tigre, o elefante, o rinoceronte e o búfalo. Por ser o Senhor das Feras, Pashupati podia meditar entre elas sem ser atacado. Mas, há um outro simbolismo. Esses animais podem representar nossas emoções e instintos mais básicos como o orgulho, a força bruta, o ódio e a sexualidade desenfreada. Pahupati, então, é também aquele que domou suas feras interiores, suas emoções e convive sabiamente com elas.
O Shiva Purana, conta que os deuses estavam em luta com os demônios e, como não estavam conseguindo vencê-los, foram pedir auxílio a Shiva. Shiva lhes disse: "Eu sou o Senhor dos Animais (Pashupati). Os corajosos titãs só poderão ser vencidos se todos os deuses e outros seres assumirem sua natureza de animal." Os deuses hesitaram pois achavam que isso seria uma humilhação. E Shiva falou novamente: "Não é uma perda reconhecer seu animal ( a espécie que corresponde no mundo animal ao princípio que cada deus encarna no plano universal). Apenas aqueles que praticam os ritos dos irmãos dos animais (Pashupatas) podem ultrapassar sua animalidade." Assim, todos os deuses e titãs reconheceram que eram o rebanho do Senhor e que ele é conhecido pelo nome de Pashupati, O Senhor dos animais. Esse textos nos mostra a ligação do Yoga primitivo com o Xamanismo.



Nesta representação, Shiva aparece unido a sua esposa Parvati. O lado direito da estátua é claramente masculino, apresentando os atributos de Shiva: a serpente, o tridente, etc. Do lado esquerdo, vemos uma figura feminina, com os trajes típicos, o brinco feminino, etc. Esse aspecto de Shiva representa a união cósmica entre o princípio masculino (Shiva) e o feminino (Parvati), entre a consciência (Shiva) e a matéria (Parvati).

Putz! Parece que me amarraram numa montanha russa esses ultimos meses e ela so agora que ta diminuindo a velocidade. Acho que o impacto do destino me pegou a forca e me deu uma sacodida que me deixou completamente desfocada, esvaziando tudo em mim, arrancando toda minha pele e expulsando toda a energia que me envolvia.

Eu tinha que parar! Eu tinha que parar e fechar os olhos, sentir meu silencio, olhar pra dentro de mim mesma; me analizar, lembrar dos meus valores, dos meus sonhos. O que que eu estava fazendo com minha vida??? Sera que eu estava indo na direcao certa??? Eu pensava que sim, pelo menos eu pensava que estava tentando, tenho andado por tantos becos me procurando e me perdendo, quiz me convencer tantas coisas pra talvez nao sentir a realidade e enquanto isso eu so me cegava com as tantas ilusoes e desilusoes que colhia pelo caminho. Sempre tive dificuldade em lidar com com o que realmente se passa la dentro do meu coracao, nunca fui muito boa em conversar sobre o que eu sinto, muito menos em me explicar.

O processo de crescimento do ser humano e inevitavel, mas isso pra mim e muito doloroso, acho que inconcientemente nao queria, nao aceitava e de uma certa forma eu "inconcientemente" sempre dava ou ainda dou um jeito de nao subir o tal degrau. E dificil explicar quando ainda nao crompreendemos muito bem o que esta se passando, acho que ainda vou continuar assim meio "enjoada" por um tempo. A verdade e que essa montanha russa nunca para, somos nos que temos que aproveitar aquela paradinha que ela da quando ta la em cima, aproveitar pra respirar bem fundo pra poder aguentar as descidas e as varias vira voltas que ela da!!
Essa e so mais uma rodada na grande roda viva da vida!

Jesus disse: "Toda a criação se renovará no paraíso". Para os proprietários de animais de estimação, eu diria que as palavras de Cristo podem significar que existe a possibilidade de que, quando isto acontecer, quando toda a criação for reunida num outro mundo, eles encontrem seus "amigos", pois o paraíso não deverá ser um lugar sem plantas nem animais.O céu foi feito para o ser humano. A razão para os cães irem para o céu não é por nós, nem por eles. Talvez, isto sim, pelo nosso relacionamento com eles.

Eu diria que o Deus do amor deseja que sejamos felizes e nos permitirá ter conosco, os animais que partilharam de nosso amor.

Na passagem do dia 20 para 21 de fevereiro (quarta/quinta) nós poderemos vislumbrar um eclipse total da Lua no céu, por volta da meia-noite. O primeiro eclipse lunar do ano será total e visível nas Américas e na Europa e África ocidentais. Durante o eclipse, a Lua estará no signo de Virgem.


Como a Lua Cheia acontece sempre no signo oposto ao que o Sol se encontra, este eclipse envolverá os signos de Peixes (Sol) e Virgem (Lua). Nos últimos dois anos os eclipses solares e lunares ocorreram nestes dois signos, simbolizando um período de fortes transformações e desafios para virginianos, piscianos e demais pessoas com Ascendente ou planetas em ambos. Este será o último eclipse no eixo Virgem/Peixes.


Os antigos costumavam ter uma visão pessimista dos eclipses porque eles representam momentos em que nosso planeta não dispõe da presença do Sol (Pai) e da Mãe (Lua), como se ficássemos órfãos e desprotegidos.


Por meio de um outro enfoque, podemos ver no simbolismo do eclipse a possibilidade de independência, de libertação, de assumirmos nossas responsabilidades perante nossas vidas e o planeta, sem deixarmos nossa sorte ao sabor de tutores ou senhores sobre os quais muitas vezes depositamos esperanças de que realizem o que cabe a NÓS realizarmos. Astral onde o eclipse total da Lua se manifesta indica a área de nossa vida que pode ser relacionada ao fenômeno. De modo que ali estará indicado um setor da nossa vida que requer que ajamos de forma responsável e consciente, sem jogarmos o resultado nos ombros de nada nem ninguém.
Uma boa dica é observar como o curso de nossa vida seguiu entre o último eclipse (no caso, agosto de 2007) e o momento atual. Como se tivéssemos iniciado uma fase no mês de agosto que se encerra agora... qual foi o aprendizado nesse período de tempo? Que novidades ocorreram? E quais as responsabilidades que temos de assumir conosco em função dos fatos que ocorreram e desse aprendizado?

Sempre é preciso saber quando uma etapa chega ao final. Se insistirmos em permanecer nela mais do que o tempo necessário, perdemos a alegria e o sentido das outras etapas que precisamos viver.

Encerrando ciclos, fechando portas, terminando capítulos. Não importa o nome que damos, o que importa é deixar no passado os momentos da vida que já se acabaram.

Foi despedida do trabalho?

Terminou uma relação?

Deixou a casa dos pais?

Partiu para viver em outro país?

A amizade tão longamente cultivada desapareceu sem explicações?

Você pode passar muito tempo se perguntando por que isso aconteceu. Pode dizer para si mesma que não dará mais um passo enquanto não entender as razões que levaram certas coisas, que eram tão importantes e sólidas em sua vida, serem subitamente transformadas em pó. Mas tal atitude será um desgaste imenso para todos: seus pais, seu marido ou sua esposa, seus amigos, seus filhos, sua irmã, todos estarão encerrando capítulos, virando a folha, seguindo adiante, e todos sofrerão ao ver que você está parado. Ninguém pode estar ao mesmo tempo no presente e no passado, nem mesmo quando tentamos entender as coisas que acontecem conosco. O que passou não voltará: não podemos ser eternamente meninos, adolescentes tardios, filhos que se sentem culpados ou rancorosos com os pais, amantes que revivem noite e dia uma ligação com quem já foi embora e não tem a menor intenção de voltar.

As coisas passam, e o melhor que fazemos é deixar que elas realmente possam ir embora. Por isso é tão importante (por mais doloroso que seja!) destruir recordações, mudar de casa, dar muitas coisas para orfanatos, vender ou doar os livros que tem. Tudo neste mundo visível é uma manifestação do mundo invisível, do que está acontecendo em nosso coração... e o desfazer-se de certas lembranças significa também abrir espaço para que outras tomem o seu lugar.

Deixar ir embora. Soltar. Desprender-se. Ninguém está jogando nesta vida com cartas marcadas, portanto às vezes ganhamos, e às vezes perdemos. Não espere que devolvam algo, não espere que reconheçam seu esforço, que descubram seu gênio, que entendam seu amor. Pare de ligar sua televisão emocional e assistir sempre ao mesmo programa, que mostra como você sofreu com determinada perda: isso o estará apenas envenenando, e nada mais.Não há nada mais perigoso que rompimentos amorosos que não são aceitos, promessas de emprego que não têm data marcada para começar, decisões que sempre são adiadas em nome do "momento ideal". Antes de começar um capítulo novo, é preciso terminar o antigo: diga a si mesmo que o que passou, jamais voltará. Lembre-se de que houve uma época em que podia viver sem aquilo, sem aquela pessoa - nada é insubstituível, um hábito não é uma necessidade. Pode parecer óbvio, pode mesmo ser difícil, mas é muito importante. Encerrando ciclos. Não por causa do orgulho, por incapacidade, ou por soberba, mas porque simplesmente aquilo já não se encaixa mais na sua vida. Feche a porta, mude o disco, limpe a casa, sacuda a poeira.

Deixe de ser quem era, e se transforme em quem é. Torna-te uma pessoa melhor e assegura-te de que sabes bem quem és tu própria, antes de conheceres alguém e de esperares que ele veja quem tu és.

Limpeza da alma!



É tempo de promover uma verdadeira faxina em nosso interior. Procurar tirar de dentro de nós, tudo o que nos causa incômodo, tristeza, mágoa, raiva, ciúme, inveja é o minimo que podemos fazer por nós mesmos.

E com esta limpeza estaremos dando lugar para ali se alojar, alegria, paz, coragem, vontade e desejo de ser feliz e, sendo feliz podemos colaborar para a felicidade de quem amamos.

So i'm back and feeling oke, not as good i was hoping to but i know it's gonna pas!

Brasil was great, beeing there with my family gave me a lot of positive energy like always. Marsie(my otherhalf) finally met my granmother who is very important in my life and they got a long really good, made me so happy to see them talking and laughing. Helena was ofcourse the queen of the house and everything she wanted, she got it!

So many people to meet, so many places to see, 6 weeks is just not enough!!

Coming back was a bit sad, i had a strange feeling about it, like i knew something was not right. i have that sometimes ,"strong intuition" and everytime i don't listen to it i hurt myself in someway.

I'm so tired of not listening, not believing what is right in front of me. How can i be so F***** stuburn all the time???


Well...that is what life does. When she tries to warn you a few times and you don't listen and don't pay atention, she shakes you up so that you are forced to see the truth, to clear your path and follow the one that you are meant to!!!


Life can be so sad and at the same time so wonderful...that is the beauty of it...

It's almost time...



Time to hear my grandmother's histories and watch old movies with her,

time to eat all the fruits that i love and that i can't get it here,

time to see the sun goes down from the dune in Jeri.

To complain about the heat in Teresina and cool off in the

swimming pool with beers and friends.

Teach my daughter how to catch a fish

Time to walk hand in hand on the beach with my love

To dance with my feet in the sand

Make love under the stars and

fix all the holes in my hart.


Oooh yeah...not to forget...


Time to hear my father say: "it's important to know what we want from life, we can't play forever!"


Yep...



It's time to go home.
